While still a work-in-progress, this strange painting has got me dreaming of Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The mountain “Sleeping Giant” looms in the distance as the horses frolic in the snow covered hills.

Lazily Grazing
24×24 oil paint on mounted wood panel.
This too was painted in its entirety with a little piece of hard plastic. Almost akin to a little trowel. It’s rather exciting and allows one to go extremely short (thick) with the paint.

Along the Conejos River near the New Mexico border at a fly-fishing cabin of an old friend and master painter/outdoorsman Andy Peters. Just about as good as the western life can get. Of course there is always work to be done.
